I love using design and styling to tell stories and create a sense of home, belonging, and aspiration. My own story is glittered with moments that have shaped my aesthetic, approach, and lifelong love for what I do.
Originally from “The City of Homes” of Newnan, Georgia, I grew up immersed in the world of homebuilding. As a spunky, eager 5th grader I got to make my way through town on a school field trip studying historical architecture, and I was hooked.
Next, I went from books and backpacks to blueprints and swatches. Saddled up with my ambition and deep-rooted passion for art and design, I found myself feeling like that wide-eyed 5th grader exploring a new, magical world at the Interior Architecture School at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY.
Pratt lived up to its ranking as the number two design school in the nation, and backed up my passion with real skills and the edge I needed to jump-start my career. I moved to Colorado where my design business began to thrive as I designed second and third homes dotted across the cities of Boulder and Steamboat Springs.
Soon, a job at Southern Living led us to Birmingham, AL, but after five years there, my builder-husband and I decided we wanted to raise our family in the charming southern town of Beaufort, South Carolina. With this move came more growth and evolution for my business. It continues to thrive today as I dive into the colors, stories, and textures of the clients, spaces, and brands I get to serve through styling and design.
Oh, and that family we wanted to raise? It’s going just swimmingly—we spend our days experiencing new wonder through the eyes of our daughter Evie and baby boy Rudy, as well as our golden retriever Scout.
